A new site, MIXPOSURE, was started recently as a place for musicians to showcase some of their work. This month Altered Perception is featured on the front page of the site under the "What's Hot?" section. The song "Cakset" from "A Lock on the Door" was one of the top rated songs of last month. | The Apartment of Irony |

My new web comic, "The Apartment of Irony" is now live on the site.
The comic is created through APCE, a tool I wrote that draws from a pool of over 150 component images to build a comic dynamically through HTML layers. Every background, character, object, and word balloon is a separate component. A web interface is used to create comics by adding and manipulating several components.

Redesigned the main news page! It is now generated from a new forum called "News and Announcements." Now the news page is consistent with the forums' look and each news item has its own dedicated discussion thread.

| Member Profiles |

Member profiles are now active. You can view a member's profile by clicking on their username anywhere it appears in the forums. You may view your own profile by clicking on your own name in the same manner, or by visiting the members page while you are logged in. You may edit the custom fields by clicking the "Edit Profile" button in the account options that appear on your profile.

| New Forums |

I have replaced the old message board system with all-new forums that I wrote from scratch myself in one day. The system is pretty basic thus far, but blends in much better with the site, and most importantly, is integrated with the new login/membership system. This means that signing up as a site member gives you posting access to the forum- separate registration is no longer necessary.
The system is very new and not thoroughly tested, so please leave a note of any bugs you find in the suggestions forum, or by contacting me directly. More enhancements to the forum system are forthcoming. Enjoy!

A new Altered Perception CD is now available: Bathtub Drain. This is a collection of 10 songs: 3 singles from A Lock on the Door, 6 remixes, and 1 exclusive track. This marks my third CD release, one of only two currently in production, and the first since 2001.
It costs $7.99 and comes out to $10.25 with shipping. You can order it online via the Altered Perception Store.

After over 18 hours straight of coding, I've finished a major upgrade to the site. There is now a "members only" section. Anyone can become a member just by filling out the form on the members page. This grants you access to all kinds of content all over the site that is now locked or hidden from guests. There are also multiple user access levels to control who can see what content. Each member also gets their own user profile, which they will soon be able to edit.
Membership is free, but requires a valid email address, as you will receive periodic updates via email. Nothing too frequent, of course, just announcements like CD release, major upgrades to the site, and new members-only content. And of course your privacy is fully respected. Added a new collection to the music section: Bathtub Drain. A remix album I did in 2002 that I never released. It was intended to replace Bathtub EP as a single/remix combo CD, so it includes several of the same songs that are on Bathtub EP. However, Bathtub Drain includes a few different remixes and two brand new tracks that are not found elsewhere.
Also added new secret codes for the portal (that thing in the upper right corner of the page) and made a few under-the-hood fixes to the site which you probably won't notice.
